Message from the Principal 5/15/2022

5/13/2022

Good Evening Griffin Students and Parents,

This is Russell Vernon, principal of RECHS calling with a testing reminder for May 16th. Tomorrow, May 16th is the Biology EOC. Only students enrolled in Biology this semester should report to the test. Remember your EOC score will count as 20% of your final grade. If you are not present, a 0 will be entered. All testing will take place on the second floor of the Humanities building. Students wear a sweatshirt or jacket in case the air in the rooms is too cold. Good Luck to all Biology students.

Students, remember that Mrs. Bayne will need your laptop, charger and physical textbooks before you leave for the summer. Bring those tomorrow. Please see Mrs. Bayne if you have any questions.

Any student still working on assignments for high school classes and/or APEX/RCS Ready or remediation for EOC retest should report to the cafeteria or assigned teachers to work each day until completed.

Breakfast and lunch will be served in the cafeteria. Students will be dismissed at 1:00 once all testing is complete. However, if a student will need to ride the bus, please know that buses will not load until 2:55.

Have a great evening and we will see all biology students tomorrow morning.

Good Evening Griffin Students and Parents!

This is Russell Vernon, principal of RECHS calling with this week's messages and updates.

Do you still need a 2022 RECHS Yearbook! There are only a few days left to buy one. Please go to Jostens.com to reserve your copy for $65.

All students that had college classes only and have finished submitting their assignments should turn in your textbooks and school issued laptops to Mrs. Bayne. Remember all fees will need to be paid before leaving for the summer.

This week we start exams and EOC’s. We would like to wish all of our students the best of luck this week and remember to finish strong. EOC’s begin Thursday, May 12th. Students received a letter this week outlining the agenda. Thursday is English 2, Friday students in Math 1 and Math 3 will test, and Monday, May 16th will be the Biology EOC.

Only students testing in these EOC courses should attend on those days. However, students still working on APEX/RCS Ready or remediating to retest EOC’s from last semester should come on their assigned days.

I will send nightly reminders starting Wednesday to remind families of each EOC date. Students will need to be here for EOC’s by 8:45 each morning. Breakfast and lunch will be served in the cafeteria. Students will be dismissed at 1:00 once all testing is complete. However, if a student will need to ride the bus, please know that buses will not load until 2:55.
